Tipperary Gardai are advising licensed firearm holders to keep their licences up-to-date.
Gardai have issued the warning after three people recently had their firearms seized because their licence had expired.
The renewal of a licensed firearm is required every three years by completing a Firearms Renewal Form (FCR) which is then submitted to the owner’s local garda station.
Failure to renew your licence will result in the confiscation of the firearm concerned and owners may be refused a new licence in the future.
