Protestors who have been demonstrating outside the ABP plant in Cahir have agreed to halt temporarily the picket while Chinese officials inspect the factory.
Chinese inspectors are visiting a number of plants across the country over the next couple of weeks with a view to possibly giving them the approval to export to China.
There were concerns that demonstrations outside the plants may have a negative impact on Beijing’s decision.
However, protestors outside the ABP processing plant in Cahir have agreed to lift their protests from midday today (Thursday) until eight o’clock this evening.
