March4Tipp to field Local Elections Candidates.

The March 4 Tipp campaign is to field three independent candidates to contest the upcoming local elections.

Speaking to Tipp Mid West this morning, the first candidate to be announced – Annemarie Ryan – said that in her view, the local authority has, in some instances, been less than transparent its plans. She gave the ongoing works on Davitt St as an example.

She went on to say that the considerable turnout at the two marches organised by the group indicates that there is a public appetite for a new way of giving the community proper representation.

Annemarie, who runs the French Quarter Café in Tipperary town with her husband, Loic L’Herrou, also confirmed that the second candidate will be revealed on the website at 6pm this Friday.

A third candidate will be then be announced in due course.
