Gardai in Tipperary town are investigating a spate of theft and attempted theft in the local area last night.
The spree began in the village of Bansha at around 11.30pm when a Volkswagen Golf was stolen. The 10 TS-reg car is blue in colour.
The next incident was reported in Lisvernane. Those responsible are understood to have broken into a car but they were disturbed before they could steal it.
Gardai believe the individuals concerned then went to the Cullen area where again they were disturbed as they attempted to break into a car.
That final incident occurred at around 2.30am.
Gardai in Tipperary town are investigating and are asking people who may have seen a dark-coloured jeep with a foreign number plate in those areas last night to come forward.
They are also asking people to keep an eye out for any vehicles that they may see stored in a suspicious manner in remote places, and report such instances to Tipperary town gardai.
