Belgian delegation given presentation on Tipp’s investment potential.

The Belgian Ambassador to Ireland and Belgium’s Trade Commissioner were recently given a presentation on the opportunities for investment in the Tipperary area.

The chance to inform them of the opportunities in Tipperary was availed of when they visited Tipp town to attend the recent Tipperary International Peace Award ceremony.

Ambassador Pierre-Emmanuel De Bauw and the Trade Commissioner Jacques Vanyhoucke met with the Cathaoirleach of the Tipperary/Cashel Municipal District Michael Fitzgerald and District Director Claire Curley.

During that meeting, Cllr Fitzgerald and Director Curley gave them a briefing on the commercial properties that are available for potential start-up businesses.

They were also given a presentation on the potential of the district in terms of the availability of industrial sites, infrastructure and services, skills bases and access to third level colleges.

The 87,000 square-foot Sky Innovation Park was also highlighted as offering an opportunity for the creation of new employment in Tipperary.

The ambassador and trade minister were further afforded an outline of the tourism potential of the Tipperary and West Tipperary area (including the Glen of Aherlow) which is being promoted through the Munster Vales project which links-in with the Aherlow Failte.
