Appeal for blood donations in Tipperary area

441

Blood donations are taking place in Tipperary tonight and an appeal has been made for people to donate if at all possible.

The appeal is being made on behalf of 4-year-old Róisín Price from Tipperary town who has leukemia and has had 16 blood transfusions so far in her life.

Her family is appealing for regular donors to continue giving to the stockpile of blood and for new donors to begin a tradition.

Donations can also be made towards the costs Roisin’s family incur during their regular trips to Dublin and Clonmel as their four-year-old gets treatment.

The Irish Blood Transfusion Service will be at Ballykisteen Hotel from 6 pm to 9 pm this evening.
