South Tipperary GPs who are unhappy with the Free GP Care for under 6s are due to hold a meeting tomorrow -the day the scheme is due to begin.
It emerged recently that in South Tipperary the scheme had the lowest level of uptake for GPs nationally.
They claim the scheme will put a restrictive burden upon their clinics, and that the remuneration being offered will not cover that.
GPs opposed to the scheme will hold a public information meeting at 2.30pm tomorrow at the Clonmel Park Hotel.
The South Tipperary GP Group say the meeting is to inform people of the latest developments on the issue and to provide details for parents on accessing GP services for under-6s from tomorrow.
Representatives from the National Association of General Practitioners and Jonathan Irwin of the Jack and Jill Foundation will also attend.
