The government has approved a funding allocation which will go towards a sports hall and al-weather pitch at the Abbey School in Tipperary. That is according to Deputy Tom Hayes the Junior Minister at the Department of Agriculture today.
Announcing the funding Deputy Hayes said that he hopes the money will help to move the project forward, once additional funding has been secured elsewhere.
Meanwhile, the Fine Gael TD has also welcomed the provision of funding for new bus shelters for parts of Tipperary. The announcement was made by Minister of the Enviroment Alan Kelly. The villages of Bansha, Limerick Junction and Monard will see the provision of new shelters following the allocation of €80,000 for Tipperary county Council,
The National Transport Authority has written to Tipperary County Council informing them of the availibity of funding.
