Independent TD Mattie McGrath has called on the education minister to take consideration of the pleas coming from the INTO regarding the effects that increasing class sizes are having.
Deputy McGrath was speaking after he attended a meeting with Tipperary delegates at the organisation's Oireachtas pre-budget meeting at the Royal Irish Academy.
He said that from those he spoke to the extent of over-crowding is worsening and having an effect on the amount of attention that can be afforded to each child while children who require special needs assistants are also being affected.
