Owners of machinery and machinery parts are being advised to be vigilant after a number of thefts were reported to gardai in recent times.
As a result they are asking farmers, contractors and owners of yards or quarries especially in the Dundrum, Donohill, Cappawhite and Annacarty areas to ensure their property is secure.
Gardaí are also asking machinery owners to contact them if they see any unauthorised person in their yard or if they are offered parts or machinery in the circumstances they feel unusual.
