There has been good news for Tipperary on the tourism front with the inclusion of Holy Cross Abbey on Fáilte Ireland’s list of the top visitor attractions for 2012.
The Co. Tipperary landmark has made it into the top ten on that list, after 240,000 people visited it last year.
The news has been welcomed by Fine Gael TD, Noel Coonan, who acknowledged it as playing an important role in attracting Irish and foreign visitors to the country.
