Accountancy firm to sue Michael Lowry

North Tipperary TD, Michael Lowry, is being sued by an accountancy firm over debts that amounted over the course of the Moriarty Tribunal.

In recent weeks BBT Accountants lodged a case in the High Court.

It is believed that Mr Lowry owes the firm more that €1 million which accured in the course of the Moriarty Tribunal in which the former Communications Minister was investigated regarding links between him and Denis O'Brien over the awarding of the mobile phone license to Esat.

BBT Accountants lodged a High Court action against Mr. Lowry in 2011 but later withdrew the case.
