A County Tipperary Labour senator has said that a row-back on the cut to the carer's respite grant in not an impossibility.
Senator Denis Landy told Tipperary Mid West Radio that the cut is not something he is happy with and he intended to raise it at today's Parlimentary meeting.
He said that even though the issue is at an advanced stage, it is not too late to reverse the decision, as some measures in previous budgets he said have been rowed back on the following January.
He added that the amount of money saved is small enough for other measures to make up for it.
