A man was arrested in Monard this morning in connection with a home invasion in which three elderly siblings were tied up and injured.
The incident happened in the Kilduff area In Pallasgreen when two masked men armed with knives broke into a house which they ramsacked and then tied up the residents.
All three were taken to the Mid West Regional Hospital in Limerick for treatment.
The arrest was made during a pre-planned garda operation at 7o’clock this morning.
He is being held by gardai under section 50 of the Offences Against the State Act.
