A signifigant investment in the Sean Treacy Memorial Swimming Pool in Tipperary Town has been announced today by Fine Gael TD Tom Hayes.
€241,359 will be provided to the swimming pool to improve access for people with disabilities as well as providing a Green Swimming Pool initative to make pools more energy efficient and less reliant on state support.
€ 116,850 has also been allocated for Clonmel Swimming Pool and €63,365 for the Sean Kelly Sports Centre in Carrick on Suir.
Making this announcement Deputy Hayes said this funding comes in addition to grants already received earlier this year.
He added that he hopes to help the pools further in the future.
