The search for missing Clonmel man, Christopher Cronin, has intensified with a nationwide Garda appeal and South Tipperary Civil Defence launching searches along the River Suir today. The coastguard helicopter based in Waterford, Rescue 117, joined the search this evening.
Christopher Cronin, 24, was last seen in the early hours of January 2nd at the Gashouse Bridge in Clonmel. He was wearing a black jumper and navy jeans.
He is described as being 1.85m (6’1″) in height, thin build, with light brown hair.
Update 10/1/12 – Body recovered from the River Suir confirmed as that of Christopher Cronin.
