Further traffic Restrictions will be put in place in Cashel from 6pm this evening in advance of the visit of Queen Elizabeth II tomorrow (Friday).
From 6pm this evening access to Cashel will only be via Junction 8 and Junction 9.
From 6pm on Thursday until 12 midday on Friday traffic access to Cashel will be restricted. Traffic may enter Cashel town via Main Street, Cahir Road and Junction Exits 8 and 9 from the M8 Motorway.
No traffic will be allowed to proceed through Cashel at Ladyswell Street, Moore Lane, Rock Villa, Domonic Street, Boherclough Street, Lower Gate Street, Bank Place, Canopy Street, The Green to Wallers Lot, The Kiln, Mountjudkin Road, Camas Road, Circular Road N8 (Old Dublin Road) from Junction 7 to Cashel town.
Diversionary signs will be placed at all junctions and cordon points will be manned by Garda personnel to assist the public.
Fethard Town; 6pm Thursday to 2pm Friday
From 6pm the outer cordon restrictions will be put in place in Fethard which will allow for normal business to continue in Fethard.
A similar cordon will exist in Killenaule allowing normal business to continue in Killenaule also. Local roads will be diverted accordingly.
Junctions will be manned by Gardai from 6pm and diversionary signs will be in place.
Local traffic will be allowed to pass through with restrictions.
