Visitor access to a ward at South Tipperary General Hospital has been stopped due to an outbreak of the Norovirus, otherwise known as the Winter Vomiting Bug.
According to the General Manager, the outbreak is confined to Medical Ward 3, with two patients confirmed as having the virus, while a total of six are symptomatic. Management will hold daily meetings to monitor the situation.
