Uncertainty Continues on Clonmel Barracks Closure

Justice Minister Alan Shatter has said that he has to choose between laying off members of the defence forces or closing buildings, as part of government efforts to save money.
This means that as yet, there is no guarantee that the Kickham Army Barracks in Clonmel will be saved.
Minister Shatter added that he has not yet made a final decision on the matter, but that he will do so as part of the Comprehensive Review of Expenditure next month.
