An investigation is underway after a fire yesterday caused significant damage to Cahir mart.

The blaze mostly damaged offices and the canteen on the premises.

As a result, there will be no sale of cattle or calves there tomorrow

However, anyone who wishes to bring sheep along tomorrow can do so and the sheep will be taken to the mart in Fermoy for sale.

According to auctioneer Noel Corcoran, it is expected that it will be business as usual on Wednesday of next week.
