It is unclear if former PR advisor to Michael Lowry, Valerie O’Reilly will be reappointed to the board of the National Transport Authority after it emerged that her term of office on the board concluded last Sunday.
Ms O’Reilly came to public prominence recently after a note emerged in which Deputy Lowry suggested to the Taoiseach that she be reappointed to the board.

Gardaí confirm body of Tipperary man found.

Gardai have confirmed that the body of Tipperary man John Esmond was discovered on edge of town yesterday afternoon.
38-year-old Mr Esmond had been missing since Wednesday, March 11.
Gardai have thanked the public for their assistance.

Gardai in Tipperary Town are appealing for information regarding the whereabouts of 36 year-old John Esmond.

From the Bansha Road, John is 5 ft 7 inches in height, and weighs about 13 stone.
He has short brown hair and blue eyes.
He is believed to have last been seen in Tipperary town last Wednesday night or Thursday morning.  When last seen he was wearing either jeans or a track suit.
Gardai are growing concerned for John’s welfare and are appealing for anybody with information to contact them on 062 80670.

Comission for Energy Regulation warn of bogus phone calls

The Commission for Energy Regulation has today warned people that it has received reports of bogus phone calls being made to business customers as part of an ongoing scam.
It appears that only business customers have been contacted to date; however, the CER says it is possible that domestic customers have or will be contacted.

Iniciative launched today aimed at attracting tourists to Cashel town

Fine Gael TD Tom Hayes this afternoon launched an initiative aimed at attracting tourists to Cashel town.
The scheme was devised by the local Chamber of Commerce in conjunction with the Office of Public Works and allows independent tourists free entry to the Rock of Cashel when they spend €15 in participating local retail outlets.
