The body of man has been recovered from Lough Derg close to where a damaged speedboat was found upturned and abandoned on Thursday.

A search involving the RNLI Lough Derg station and local volunteers found the body at about 8pm last night in Youghal Bay near Garrykennedy.  The body of the man, believed to be in his 40's, was removed to the Mid-Western Regional Hospital in Limerick for a post-mortem examination.
