The constituency office of South Tipperary TD was badly damaged during a robbery at the premises.
Fine Gael TD Tom Hayes has confirmed that his constituency office in Cashel was broken into last night. Office equipment and computers were stolen during the raid.
Speaking on Tipperary Mid West Radio today Deputy Hayes said that while he had details of his constituents on the computers in question, the computers are protected and information cannot be accessed.
He added that he has been in contact with the Data Commissioner and that they are satisfied that no breach has occured.
Gardai are currently investigating the incident
