TD says sentence should reflect crime

Fine Gael TD, Patrick O'Sullivan, called for the Justice Minister to consider the introduction of mandatory minimum sentences for people where it is proven that they intended to use physical force against the occupants of a house they were entering illegally for the purpose of theft.

Deputy O'Donovan told Tipperary Mid West Radio today that he wants to see sentences reflect the type of crime committed
