A new method of paying for parking has gone live in towns across the county today.

The eParking Service was launched in Clonmel this morning and applies for parking in each of the nine towns in Tipperary that currently have pay parking, including Tipperary town.

The new system involves downloading the Tipperary eParking App.  Then, by pre-purchasing credit for the app, motorists and visitors can use it to select the zone, the amount of time they want to pay for, and ensure parking is paid for.

The new system will also allow people to extend their parking time without the need to go back to their car.

The new app is available to download via the App Store or Google Play.
