Over €1 million has been allocated towards work at the unfinished Ashbury estate in Roscrea.

The estate in Question was built in 2006 but was unfinished and later became a location for anti social behaviour.

Nobody lives in the estate at present. 

However, local TD Noel Coonan has announced that €1.1 million has been allocated by the Minister for Housing Jan O'Sullivan 

This money will be used to build 12 new units at the estate as part of a local authority home build initiative

The funding is part of a total of 68 million to be allocated nationwide .
