An incident room has been set up at Tipperary town garda station following the discovery of a body of a man in the Fawnagown area this afternoon.

The discovery was made at the rear of a house in a slurry pit at around 2 O'Clock this afternoon.

The mans body has not yet been identified and the area has been preserved for a technical and forensic examination.  The State Pathologist and the local coroner have been notified.

Gardai say enquiries are ongoing.  An incident has been set up at Tipperary town Garda Station.
