Deputy Michael Lowry has appealed to the Minister for Jobs, Richard Burton (FG),  to urge the company, C&C Group, to be more upfront with its staff across Tipperary.

Deputy Tom Hayes, the Junior Minister at the Department of Agriculture, is advising small and medium businesses in Tipperary to ensure they are SEPA compliant before February 1st 2014.

A concerted effort to secure the future of the Bolton Library in Cashel is underway. It recently emerged that because of lack of funding, the preservation of valuable books at the library was under threat and therefore it was proposed that the books be transferred to the University of Limerick.

The news caused outrage in Cashel.
