Road traffic collision in Gortnahoe

A 34 year old man died in a road traffic collision in Gortnahoe last night .

The collision occured a 10pm when a car and a motorcycle collided at Boulik.

The motor cyclist died at the scene.  his body was taken to tthe Mid Western Regional Hospital where a post mortem was due to take place today.

The female driver of the car was uninjured.

Gardai are appealing for witnesses to the crash to contact Thurles Garda Station on 0504 25100 the garda confidential line on 1800 666 111 or any garda station

Accountancy firm to sue Michael Lowry

North Tipperary TD, Michael Lowry, is being sued by an accountancy firm over debts that amounted over the course of the Moriarty Tribunal.

In recent weeks BBT Accountants lodged a case in the High Court.

RSA advice to road users

The Road Safety Authority (RSA) is advising all road users especially drivers to exercise caution on roads following a break in the dry weather. Rainfall this week will bring to an end a long dry spell which poses dangers to road users.
