Tom Hayes TD, Minister of State at the Department of Agriculture, Food and the Marine with responsibility for forestry today reminded forest owners and managers, turf cutters and the general public that there is a high risk of wildfires during the current spell of hot weather.
The Minister said that with hot, dry weather predicted to last untill next weekend "high to "extreme" fire risk conditions already exist in many parts of the country and he asks members of the public to be extremely careful if out and about over the coming days
