A furniture factory in Nenagh has been destroyed in a fire that started yesterday evening and burned over night.

Fire services from across the county were called to fight the blaze at the TIPPO furniture factory on the outskirts of Nenagh since the alarm was raised at ten to seven yesterday evening.

The business  supplies furniture across the Munster province.

The company is a major employer in Nenagh and the fire will come as a major blow to the town.

Local TD Jackie Cahill who was at the business recently has said the fire is devastating for the owners of the company, its employees and the town as a whole…

Books of Condolence have been opened at council office across the country, to give people the opportunity to express their sympathies on the death of Anthony Foley.

The books are available to be signed at each municipal district office, include the Cashel/Tipperary Municipal District office on Rosanna Road in Tipperary town.
