Co Tipperary is to receive more than €23 million from the Local Property Tax to fund local services.
Distributing the proceeds of the LPT, Minister Alan Kelly outlined how €14.05 million of the €23.3 million will come from the equalisation fund which provides top-up funding to certain local authority areas that have lower property tax bases due to various reasons.
Nationally, elected local authority members have the power to decide whether or not to increase or decrease LPT rates in their own areas by up to 15%.
